Alleviating the suffering of those affected by suicide

Arturo’s Hart Foundation equips leaders and communities with neuroscience-informed tools to interrupt suicide, restore dignity, and ignite hope, through training, retreats, and coaching.

Interrupting Suicide with Science, Scripture, and Love.

Arturo’s Hart Foundation exists to interrupt suicide and restore dignity through faith-rooted, neuroscience-informed healing. We train leaders, host retreats, and create safe spaces where people can say ‘I’m not okay’—and be met with love, wisdom, and a plan.

Who We Equip

We train pastors, mothers, nonprofit staff, and community leaders—ordinary people with extraordinary influence. Whether you're supporting someone in crisis or grieving a loss, we give you tools to respond with clarity and compassion.

What Our Training Includes

Our programs blend scripture, neuroscience, and trauma-informed care. You’ll learn how to regulate emotions, recognize warning signs, and walk with others through grief, anxiety, and suicidal ideation—with wisdom and a plan.

Why Safe Spaces Matter

Healing doesn’t happen in silence. Our retreats and coaching environments are designed to be emotionally safe, spiritually grounded, and brain health driven.

Voices of Courage

Why We Show Up, Speak Out, and Stay Present.

"It’s not therapy—it’s strategic support. Brain health coaches offer neuroscience-informed tools for clarity, resilience, and healing. Think of it as spiritual first aid meets cognitive science."

"I went to the professionals —but what I needed was someone to see Arturo the way I saw him. Not as a case file. Not as a checklist. As a son. As someone they’d fight for like he was their own. That’s why Arturo’s Hart Foundation exists—to train leaders who respond with heart, not just a policy and procedure process. Healing takes more than policy—it takes love, wisdom, and the courage to truly see people.”

“This isn’t just a foundation—it’s a movement. AHF is equipping people to show up in the hardest moments with tools that actually work. I’ve seen lives shift because someone dared to say, ‘We can do better—and we will.’”

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you make confident decisions.

What makes AHF’s approach different from traditional mental health training?

We combine faith, neuroscience, and lived experience. Most programs focus on protocol. We focus on people. Our training equips you with brain-based tools, trauma-informed care, and spiritual insight—so you can respond to crisis with clarity, compassion, and a plan. We also integrate the proven methods of Dr. Daniel Amen, and when appropriate, we refer individuals to Amen Clinics for brain imaging and specialized care.

Who can participate in AHF’s training programs?

Anyone who wants to be part of the solution. We welcome pastors, pregnancy center staff, nonprofit leaders, corporate managers—and everyday advocates like mothers, friends, and mentors. If you want to help end the concept of mental illness by creating a revolution in brain health, there’s a place for you here.

Is this a certification program or a retreat experience?

We offer training for H.A.R.T. Leaders, immersive retreats for emotional recovery, and ongoing coaching for sustainable impact. Whether you're looking to lead, heal, or support others, we meet you where you are. In addition to our H.A.R.T. Leader track, we also offer a specialized Coaching Certificate for those called to walk more deeply with individuals and families. This program equips coaches with faith-rooted, neuroscience-informed strategies to support emotional healing, resilience, and whole-person transformation—beyond the group setting.

How does Arturo’s Hart Foundation use the Amen Method—and who is Dr. Daniel Amen?

We integrate the Amen Method to bring clarity, compassion, and science into mental health conversations. Dr. Daniel Amen is a renowned psychiatrist and brain health expert known for pioneering the use of brain imaging (SPECT scans) to better understand emotional and behavioral struggles. His work has transformed how we approach healing—from guessing to seeing. At AHF, we use his neuroscience-informed strategies to train leaders in recognizing brain-based patterns, regulating emotions, and responding to trauma with wisdom. When appropriate, we refer individuals to Amen Clinics for deeper evaluation and care
